Dialogue in the Video: In the fair town of Verona, there were 2 dominant families called the Montague’s and the Capulet’s with equally fueled hatred with teach other. The families are involved with constant violence, leading the citizens belonging in the domains of the families with blood stained hands. In the name of fate, 2 children from each family meet and fall in love with each other. Only to commit suicide in the end, the deaths of the lovers end the fight between the two families. In the next two hours, we will watch the story of their doomed love and the anger their parents create, but if you listen and stay to watch the play, you will catch the details you might have missed in our prior prologue. (The formatting makes it look like its not fulfilling the requirements of the rubric :( ) The Original Prologue Two Households, Both Alike in Dignity,
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene,
From ancient grudge break to new mutiny,
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean.
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-cross’d lovers take their life;
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death bury their parents’ strife.
The fearful passage of their death-mark’d love,
And the continuance of their parents rage,
Which, but their children’s end, nought could remove,
Is now the two hours traffic of our stage;
The which of you with patient ears attend,
What here shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.

TYBALT CHARACTER STUDY Yu Sheng Wu (Roger)
TO ALL THE NITPICKERS OUT THERE WHO USE THE EXCUSE “CANT HEAR IT PROPERLY AND WILL NOT GIVE HIM A GOOD SCORE” FOR MY TYBALT ANALYSIS VIDEOJ
(1) Character changes? a) Obvious change: Alive to dead b) No obvious sign of maturity, still cannot control his temper c) The cause of his “death” is because Romeo wanted to avenge Mercutio’s death, unfortunately caused by Tybalt’s reckless acts.
(2) Moral high points and low points a) No obvious high points, fiercely proud and defendant of his family’s name. Brave and dangerous. Has great sword-fighting skills b) Has a reckless temper, angered at the presence of a Montague. His temper tantrums eventually cause his death.
(3) What degree of tragedy? (4) Amendments in actions?
Take temper control lessons, and control your violent urges. Its good to practice swordplay, but don’t carry your sword every second of your life.
(5) Dress sense?
If it was the modern times, Tybalt will wear a suit, a pair of loafers, but will break tradition and wear a sword around his waist, wear a red tie. The colors red and black are colors that are orderly. Black symbolizes his status, red symbolizes his anger and his temper.
(6) A prop would be a sword; Tybalt used a sword often in the play. But a sword symbolizes Tybalt, because a sword can be used as an weapon against law, but it can also be used as a weapon for justice. A sword can also be used to hurt people, but can also be used to protect people; it’s a bit like Tybalt, except that Tybalt might be a sword on the Harmful side.
